He will readily agree to the proposition as you will be investing on an upgrade of the window treatment and this will be an upgrade that you cannot take along with you when leaving the property. You can also change the blinds with the curtains of your choice to add some color and brightness in your rooms.
Add some plants in the interiors
No landlord objects to his tenant placing some flowering plants in pots in the balcony or any other place inside his home. By placing these plants, you can not only have a green and clean environment but also feel fresher and healthier.
Decorate walls but with some caution
You can decorate the walls of your rented property, but you need to be little careful. There are available removable wallpapers that you can use on the walls of one of the rooms. These wallpapers come off easily to hand over the walls in the earlier condition to your landlord. Another option for you is vinyl decals that can be easily scratched from the wall when it is time to move out. You can also hang paintings on the walls but be careful not to drill too many holes in the walls as that can upset your landlord.
Change the lighting to transform the ambience
You can make changes to the existing lighting by adding table lamps and overhead hanging lights. There are available many kinds of lighting fixtures that can add to the decor of the room and improve the brightness in the room.
If you have artistic leanings, you can hang paintings on the walls without driving any holes. There are available self-adhesive removable hooks that can easily hold your paintings in place. You can also change the hooks from one place to another to change the decor of the room according to your mood and liking. You can add more art to your rented place by buying and placing a rug with mural art printed over it.
There are many ways to turn the rented house into your own home. All you must do is to make sure that the rentsl property is not damaged in any way.
